Our Story
bartr was born from frustration. When our founder Joshua tried to sell his first home in 2023, he was shocked by how opaque and expensive the process was. Why was he paying $36,000 in commissions for what felt like a few hours of work? Why couldn't he see real-time data about his home's value? Why did he have to rely on someone else to connect with interested buyers?
He started asking questions and found he wasn't alone. Millions of homeowners felt the same way. They wanted transparency, control, and fair pricing. They wanted to be treated like the sophisticated consumers they are.
